The problem

Tickets pile up and tables eat at different times

When every order prints in one long queue, each station guesses what to fire and when. Appetizers land cold, entrees run late, and the expediter chases plates instead of running the pass.

Course pacing breaks down fastest on large parties and back-to-back seatings. Without a shared view, the grill, saute, and cold station never sync, and the guest feels every gap in timing.

  • Tables served together, not one plate at a time
  • Shorter and steadier ticket times
  • Calmer expo and fewer verbal callouts
  • A clear record of where the line slows down
Features

Built for kitchen expo and service

PlatePassr stays focused and does this one job extremely well.

Station routing

Each ticket line lands at the station that cooks it, so cooks see only their own work and nothing gets lost in a shared printer queue.

Course pacing

Fire appetizers, then hold and release entrees on a timer or an expo tap, so every seat at a table is served in the same window.

Live expo pass

The pass shows every open table with its outstanding items, so the expediter calls the fire and reads the room from one screen.

Cook times per station

PlatePassr tracks how long each station holds a ticket, so you see where the line slows before it becomes a wall of tickets.

All-day counts

Running totals by item help each station batch smartly during a rush without over firing or double cooking.

Bump and recall

Cooks bump finished items, and expo can recall a table in one tap when a guest changes an order or a plate comes back.

How it works

Set up in minutes

Three steps from sign up to real value.

1

Map your line

List your stations and assign each menu item to the station that makes it. PlatePassr routes new tickets automatically from there.

2

Set pacing rules

Choose whether courses release on a timer, on an expo tap, or when the prior course is bumped, per party size if you like.

3

Run the pass

Cooks work their station view while the expediter runs the pass, fires courses, and keeps every table on the same clock.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Do I need new kitchen hardware?

No. PlatePassr runs in a browser on the tablets or screens you already use at each station and on the pass.

Does it connect to my POS?

It works alongside your POS. Many teams route tickets in from the POS printer feed, and direct integrations are on the roadmap by region.

What happens when the internet drops?

This is an honest limit. PlatePassr needs a live connection to sync stations, so we recommend a backup ticket printer for outages.

Can I pace courses differently for large parties?

Yes. You can set pacing rules by party size so a table of ten releases differently than a two top.

How long does setup take?

Most kitchens map their line and assign items in an afternoon, then refine pacing rules over the first week of service.

Can cooks see only their station?

Yes. Each station screen shows only the items that station makes, while expo sees the full pass.
